Widex Hearing Aids: A Sound Like No Other
At Hears to U, Hearing & Hearables, we love Widex hearing aids. Some of our patients love them so much that they ask us, “Why do you even sell anything else?”
Well, here’s the thing—we know what they don’t. Choice matters. While Widex is a fantastic option (and a favorite in our clinic), not everyone loves it. But for those who do, they really do!
Why Widex?
Widex is known for its soft sound gain, making it one of the most natural-sounding hearing aids on the market. Unlike some hearing aids that can feel artificial, Widex offers a smooth, organic listening experience—hence their tagline:
“A Sound Like No Other.”
Introducing the Widex SmartRIC
The latest Widex technology includes the exciting new SmartRIC: First, it is designed to improve hearing in background noise with microphones positioned higher on the ear. The aid features a stronger feedback system to help reduce whistling. It also comes in stylish colors—rosegold, black, and silver are customer favorites!
Enhance Your Widex SmartRIC Experience with Accessories
While the Widex SmartRIC is a powerhouse on its own, you can elevate your hearing experience even further with a range of Widex accessories. Besides the Widex SoundAssist, which offers a remote mic, t-coil, and easy remote control, there are other great options to consider:
- Widex TV Play – Stream high-quality audio from your TV directly to your hearing aids for crystal-clear sound without cranking up the volume.
- Widex COM-DEX – A sleek Bluetooth streaming device that lets you connect to your phone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled devices for hands-free calls and music streaming.
- Widex RC-DEX – A small and easy-to-use remote control that allows you to adjust volume and programs without using the app.
- Widex Phone Dex II – A dedicated phone to connect directly to the aids, perfect for those who need access to hearing in both ears!
Things to Keep in Mind
· No physical button – Adjustments must be made through the Widex app
· No built-in telecoil – However, you can use the Widex SoundAssist, which acts as a remote mic, a t-coil, and a remote control! Many of our clients find it life-changing for difficult listening environments.
· Widex and Telehealth? – While we’d love to offer only Widex, the reality is that Widex can be tricky to fit remotely. Because of its soft sound gain, there’s a greater risk of feedback (sound leaking out and getting reamplified).
