Widex expands to BTE and ITE R hearing aids on its Allure platform with new chargers and hearing aid models. Building on the success of the original Allure models introduced earlier this year, Widex has now added Behind-the-Ear (BTE) and In-the-Ear (ITE) form factors, including the brand’s first rechargeable ITE option. Along with these come some new innovative charging accessories. These new products expand user choice while maintaining the natural sound quality and advanced fitting precision that professionals and wearers have come to expect from Widex.
What’s New in the Widex Allure Family?
Widex’s Allure portfolio now goes beyond Receiver-in-Canal (RIC) models to include:
Allure BTE (Behind-the-Ear)
The new Allure BTE brings Widex’s signature natural sound and connectivity to a classic form factor that accommodates mild to profound hearing loss. Designed for versatility and comfort, the BTE model offers:
- Strong amplification and all-day battery life
- Built-in telecoil connectivity
- Bluetooth LE Audio and direct streaming to iOS/Android
- Multiple stylish color options.
- Use with traditional earmold and tubing or ThinTubes for a quick, non-custom fit.
Allure ITE (In-the-Ear) – Now Rechargeable
For wearers seeking a discreet, custom-fit solution. The first rechargeable ITE from Widex. This model delivers:
- Custom fit and discreet profile
- Rechargeable convenience without disposable batteries
- Hands-free Bluetooth streaming and push-button controls
- Up to a full day of listening on a single charge
- Four stylish color options to suit personal taste
New Allure Charging Solutions
To support these new products, and enhance portability, Widex has added smart chargers to the Allure ecosystem:
- Portable RIC Charger: A compact, travel-friendly charger that can power RIC aids for up to a week without being plugged into an outlet, ideal for active lifestyles and travel.
- Standard Chargers & Charge n Clean Options: Available for Allure BTE and RIC models, these chargers offer fast recharging and, with the Charge n Clean version, built-in drying and sanitization during charging.
Powered by Allure Platform Technology
All Allure hearing aids — the original RIC models and the new BTE & ITE additions — are built on the next-generation Allure platform, which focuses on delivering:
- Natural sound quality with reduced distortion
- Intuitive Bluetooth connectivity for calls and streaming
- Powerful performance in diverse listening environments
- A redesigned Allure app for seamless control and personalization
The Allure app supports all form factors, enabling wearers to adjust settings, manage sound profiles, and check battery status with ease. Connectivity features extend to Apple Watch control and AI-driven sound assistants. Making hearing management more accessible and customizable than ever.
Why This Matters
This product expansion isn’t just about offering more shapes and sizes. It also reflects a broader shift in hearing technology toward user flexibility, convenience, and performance. By supporting rechargeable options in both RIC and ITE formats, along with innovative charging accessories, Widex is addressing wearers’ needs for:
- Ease of use and daily reliability
- Seamless connectivity to modern devices
- Personalized comfort and lifestyle adaptability
- Extending their new and improved platform to all different kinds of hearing aid wearers
At the same time, hearing care professionals benefit from ongoing updates through Widex’s fitting software, Compass Cloud, which continues to evolve with new features that support precise, individualized fittings.
A Note on Accessories
Because the new Allure series is now programmed on a cloud based software using LE Bluetooth, it effects the compatibility with older Widex accessories such as the Sound Assist and TV Play. The Allure is not compatible with the Sound Assist or SoundConnect dongle. However, Widex has released a new version of the TV Play that is compatible with the Allure line. This new TV Play 2 has replaced the original TV Play and is the only one available for purchase now. With the new TV Play 2 Allure wearers must switch the TV streamer to LE Bluetooth mode in order to pair. This means Allure and Moment hearing aids cannot use a TV Play at the same time because of the different pairing methods.
Final Thoughts
The Allure platform’s expansion marks a significant milestone for Widex by offering even more choices without compromising on the natural acoustic experience the brand is known for.
