Oticon EduMic — a classroom remote microphone

To develop language and enhance learning, a child needs to be able to hear the teacher’s voice clearly at school. Compared to children with normal hearing, children with hearing loss experience more difficulty in perceiving speech and learning words in noise.

EduMic is a classroom hearing solution that provides direct access to the teacher’s voice from a wireless remote microphone to help children manage noise, reverberation and distance in the classroom. Oticon’s pediatric hearing aids and EduMic work together to maximize children’s speech understanding for language development, learning and socializing opportunities. Top benefits include:

Using 2.4 GHz wireless technology, EduMic integrates with all Oticon Bluetooth® enabled hearing aids, including the advanced Oticon Opn Play™ and Xceed Play, eliminating the need to invest in the additional components required when using traditional FM classroom systems.

The Oticon EduMic was designed to provide an easy 1-button remote microphone solution capable of transmitting to multiple Oticon 2.4 GHz compatible hearing aids. It also allows for connection to other audio devices via 3.5mm jack and includes a universal FM port.
