Getting Started to Set up for a Signia Remote Session:

To get started with remote care for your Signia hearing aids, you’ll need to download the “Signia app”. It’s available for free on both iOS devices with iOS version 9.3 or higher (from the App Store) and Android devices with Android 5.0 or higher (from Google Play).

At Hears to U, Hearing & Hearables, If you live in Minnesota, our team will add you as a client into our software, which will trigger a text message containing a download link for the app and a unique code. This step will most likely be completed during your initial visit to our office when you receive your new Signia hearing aids. After downloading the app and entering the code, our experts will assist you in pairing your hearing aids with the app and your smartphone.

If you live in a State other than Minnesota, we are still happy to help you find that app or refer you to a hearing provider near you.

Preparing for Remote Appointments:

For successful remote telehealth appointments with your Signia hearing  aids ensure you have the following:

  1. Stable Internet Wi-Fi Connection: A reliable internet connection is crucial for smooth telehealth visits.
  2. Headset: Have a headset ready for voice calls to ensure clear communication with your hearing care professional.  If you don’t have a headset a good microphone on your smart phone will also work.
  3. Webcam: If you’re using a tablet or computer for video calls, make sure you have a working webcam.

Using the Signia App for Remote Care:

Once your app is set up and your hearing aids are paired, you’re ready for remote appointments.

Here’s how the remote procedure works:

  1. Approval: When your appointment begins, a window will appear in the Signia app asking for your permission to allow your Hearing Care Professional to adjust your hearing aids. Click the “OK” button to approve the connection.
  2. Real-Time Adjustments: Any adjustments made by your hearing care professional will be sent in real-time to your hearing aids, ensuring you receive personalized care without leaving your home.

The Benefits of Signia App Remote fitting are plentiful:

Apart from remote care, the Signia app offers access to a standard set of hearing lessons. These lessons allow you to become familiar with different hearing settings, various hearing situations (such as one-on-one conversations and group settings), and how to adjust your hearing aids for the best experience. These lessons can be revisited anytime and as often as you like, making them a valuable resource, especially if you’re new to hearing aids. We also like the “mask-mode” setting.  This accommodates a boost in the frequencies where masks muffle speech.   The new Signia app now has a health section.  You can track your steps and check your conversation level.  I am not sure people need it but it is a great little feature.

Maneuvering Remote Audiology Care with Your Oticon Hearing Aids: A Comprehensive Guide

You’ve made the wise decision to invest in Oticon hearing aids, and you delight in the improved hearing they provide. You’re aware, however, that maintaining and fine-tuning them may require more follow-up care. With the convenience of modern technology, you’re wondering whether your Oticon hearing aids support remote audiology appointments. In this informative blog, we will delve into the realm of virtual audiology consultations and how Oticon’s innovative technology allows you to stay connected to your audiologist from the comfort of your own home.

Various factors, such as the ongoing pandemic, chilly Minnesota winters, snowy conditions, or transportation challenges, make the idea of remote audiology care an attractive option. Fortunately, advancements in technology have made it possible to address your hearing health needs without leaving home.

Preparation for Your Remote Audiology Follow-up

Before embarking on your remote audiology journey, it’s crucial to ensure you have the necessary tools and equipment. Here’s what you’ll need:

Email to Communicate with your Hearing Health Care Provider

Email Account: to facilitate communication with your audiologist or hearing instrument dispenser.

Stable Internet Wifi Connection: A dependable internet connection is essential for a smooth virtual appointment experience.

You’ll need a smartphone For your Oticon “Companion” app connection that meets specific criteria:

  • For iPhone users, your device should be an iPhone 5s or newer, running software version 12.0 or later.
  • Android users should have an operating system of 8.0 or higher.
  • If you use an iPhone, have your Apple ID and password ready for downloading the necessary app. If you have an Android phone you can just download your Oticon “Companion” app in your Play Store.

Compatible Oticon Hearing Aids:

Verify that your hearing aids are equipped with Bluetooth capability of 2.4 GHz. This feature is available in models like Oticon Real, More, Exceed, Opn S, Opn Play, Ruby, and Opn with firmware 6.0 or later.

If you’re uncertain about whether your Oticon hearing aids meet these requirements, the experts at Hears Hearing & Hearables can assist you in determining whether your specific model supports the Oticon Companion app.

Now if all that is inline let’s go over connecting with remote care Companion app

Once you’ve confirmed that you have all the prerequisites in place, the next step is to establish a connection between your hearing aids and your smartphone. Then, download the Oticon Companion app from your smartphone’s app store. For iPhone users, this is where your Apple ID and password come into play. During setup, you’ll likely need to create an account, and a verification email will be sent to your registered email address.

After setting up your account, follow these steps:

1. Sign In: Open the Companion app and sign in using your provided credentials.

2. Battery Check: The app will prompt you to check the battery status of your Oticon hearing aids.  If batteries are not strong it may be hard to continue and may have to come back when your hearing aids are fully charged.

3. Pair the Oticon Companion App with Hearing Aids: The app will initiate a connection with your hearing aids. If you have two hearing aids, both should display a green indicator when successfully connected.

4. Start Appointment: Click on “my appointment” within the Oticon Companion app. It will guide you to a virtual waiting room.

5. Virtual Appointment: In the virtual waiting room, you’ll await your audiologist or hearing instrument dispenser’s arrival. Once they join the session, both you and your hearing care provider will have the ability to see and communicate with each other via the app.

For you, the virtual appointment will proceed much like any other video call or Zoom meeting. Your audiologist or hearing instrument dispenser, however, will have additional tools on their screen to access and fine-tune your hearing aid settings in real-time. Once you’re satisfied with the adjustments, your audiologist will save the settings, and your hearing aids will restart. It’s a straightforward process!

Here is a little YouTube video from Oticon on remote fitting.

Widex Moment Sheer Remote Link

Unlocking Convenience: Widex Moment Remote Link Hearing Aid Remote Care

September 22, 2023

Can Widex’s Moment Hearing Aid Remote Care Help You at Home?

You’ve made your purchase of a pair of Widex Moment hearing aids, and you delight in the improved hearing you now enjoy.. However, you’re aware that follow-up care and attention will be necessary.
You might be wondering what you can achieve without the need to visit the office since you want a remote visit. These days, with technology at our fingertips, you might be surprised at what’s possible from your own computer. You are thinking do my Widex hearing aids support this type of remote appointment?

Widex Moment Remote Link Hearing Care:  These are all great questions.

Factors like the ongoing pandemic, harsh Minnesota winters, and transportation challenges, or living far away from any hearing clinic nearby make it increasingly appealing to handle as much as possible from the comfort of your living room. So, let’s explore the options available for remote care with Widex’s new technology, the Moment.

Steps to take to have a remote fitting:

First and foremost, you’ll need a smartphone – either an iPhone or an Android device – along with the Remote Link package. A small fee is associated with the remote link and the service. You can opt to purchase the Widex Remote link bundled with your hearing aids at Hears to U, Audiology, Hearing & Hearables or sold separately.  If you didn’t purchase them from the clinic you are going to you can ask if they offer Widex Moment remote hearing aid fitting.  At that point, you can buy the Remote link sold separately or bundled from that hearing clinic.

Setting up in a brick-and-mortar clinic:

During a fitting or follow-up for your new Widex Moment hearing aids at Hears to U, Audiology, we’ll guide you through the process of registering the Remote Link, downloading the app, and pairing the app with the remote link to sync with your hearing aids. Once these steps are complete, you’ll be all set for your very first telehealth appointment!

You can also set up a Widex Moment fitting remotely

Simply call your clinic or Hears to U,  and let us know that you have a Widex Moment hearing aid.  We can set you up with a Remote Link.  If you live here in Minnesota we are happy to offer the service of programming and sending you the Link.  If you live somewhere other than Minnesota, we will send the link to your provider.

The Hearing Health Professional will pair the Remote to your hearing chart.   The remote Link can then be mailed to you.  You will download the “remote Link” app of Widex’s and pair your Link with your Phone. You can always call for help.  The Link does not need to be paired to your phone.  The Link has a neck loop that is able to connect via a special connection.

What to Expect at Your Remote Appointment

When the day of your telehealth appointment arrives, ensure that you fully charge and prepare your hearing aids, smartphone, and remote link. Keep your remote link around your neck for the duration of the appointment. Open the app, select “Join Meeting,” and patiently await our connection from Hears to U, or your hearing provider in your state other than Minnesota.

Once connected, you’ll be able to hear and see us on your screen. Audiologists or Hearing Instrument Dispensers will have the ability to add, delete, or make adjustments to your hearing aid programs, even fine-tuning frequencies as needed – just as if you were physically in our clinic in Hopkins, Minnesota.

After we’ve made all the necessary adjustments, please allow us to end the call to ensure that we save all changes. Then, you can simply close the app, stow away your remote Link, and relish in your improved soundscape. It’s as easy as 1-2-3!

What’s particularly convenient about the Widex Remote Care telehealth program is that it allows us at Hears to U, Audiology to not only address possible feedback issues but also monitor changes in your hearing. Additionally, there’s a service tracker that can alert us if your hearing aid requires repair. In today’s digital age, technology can indeed be your friend, especially when it comes to your hearing care.

We delight in assisting you in setting up for remote care.

UV-C Sterilization for used Hearing aids

UV-C Sterilization for Hearing Aids is a proven way for safety and cleanliness

September 22, 2023

Experience the Gold Standard in Used Hearing Aid Sterilization with UV-C Technology.

At our facility, we’ve embraced UV-C sterilization as our primary method for safeguarding all pre-owned hearing aids. UV-C, short for Ultraviolet-C, represents the pinnacle of disinfection methods, employing short-wavelength ultraviolet light to combat a wide spectrum of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, and fungi.

Our commitment to sterilization stems from its demonstrated efficiency and unwavering reliability in sanitizing medical devices, most notably in our case of interest hearing aids. Operating within the 100 to 280 nanometer (nm) wavelength range, UV-C light targets microorganisms at their core. Upon exposure, the genetic material (DNA and RNA) of these microorganisms absorbs the energy. Therefore, inflicting structural damage that cripples their ability to replicate or function. This transformative process effectively neutralizes and eliminates these harmful agents, ensuring the utmost safety for our users.

To facilitate hearing aid sterilization, we employ cutting-edge UV-C chambers in our specialized cabinet. We simply place hearing aids into these chambers, where automated UV-C light emission takes charge. The duration used, which often we go overboard and do overnight, ensures comprehensive sterilization, and safety measures. Including automatic shut-off mechanisms upon chamber opening, guarantee user protection from UV-C exposure.

Why UV-C?

What truly sets our approach apart is the extensive body of research supporting UV-C sterilization. Countless studies have consistently affirmed the unmatched efficacy of UV-C, often highlighting its advantages over chemical alternatives. UV-C stands out for its swiftness, absence of residue, as well as its ability to preserve hearing aids’ integrity over time. These findings affirm this type of sterilization as the dependable and efficient choice for disinfecting hearing aids. Thus, assuring users of both safety and hygiene.”

Numerous research studies have compared UV-C sterilization with chemical methods for disinfection. These studies consistently reveal the effectiveness of UV-C sterilization, basically highlighting its advantages over chemical alternatives. UV-C is lauded for its speed, leaving no residue, and for preserving the integrity of what is being sterilized.  Obviously, hearing aids cannot be put into a chemical bath.  The study findings underscore UV-C sterilization as a reliable and efficient choice for disinfecting hearing aids, ensuring their safety and hygiene for users.

Thank you for trusting us with your hearing health care and safety.

Unlocking Affordable Hearing Solutions: The Power of Over-the-Counter (OTC) Hearing Aids

September 14, 2023

Affordable Hearing Solutions: OTC Hearing Aids at Your Local Audiology Clinic

At Hears to U, we understand that hearing healthcare is not one-size-fits-all. People come to us with various needs, from earwax removal to addressing their hearing challenges. We take pride in offering a wide range of hearing solutions, including over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids for those who seek an affordable and convenient option. While not all audiologists endorse OTC hearing aids, we do at Hears Hearing & Hearables in Hopkins, Minnesota. In this blog post, we’ll explore the world of OTC hearing aids, what they entail, and how they can provide a valuable solution for individuals like “Anne”.

What Are OTC Hearing Aids?

OTC hearing aids are a game-changer in the world of audiology. They are essentially hearing aids that you can purchase without a prescription, without any help from a professional. Thus, saving on professional service fees. This means you can visit a local store that stocks OTC hearing aids, buy one, and set it up yourself to cater to your specific hearing needs. Most OTC hearing aids come equipped with a companion app that helps you personalize your hearing experience. Here’s how it typically works:

1. Purchase:   You buy the OTC hearing aid box from an authorized retailer, like your local audiologist.  You may also purchase from other stores like Best Buy.  We of course prefer that you buy it from someone who understands ears and hearing like us audiologists. 🙂

2. Registration:   As you begin to set up your hearing aid with your app, the app actually registers your OTC hearing aid with the brand of your hearing aids, like Jabra.  These hearing aids often provide you with a one-year warranty.

3. Hearing Profile: Through the app, you conduct a hearing profile test, which is akin to a diagnostic hearing test. This test in the app reports to be calibrated to provide good data for your hearing needs.  The hearing aid is then set to your unique hearing thresholds.

4. Customization: The app allows you to fine-tune your hearing aid settings, ensuring it caters to your specific hearing loss profile.

Are OTC Hearing Aids Right for You?

OTC hearing aids are typically designed for individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss. They are not suitable for moderate or more severe hearing loss. However, they offer an affordable alternative to professionally fit, more expensive hearing aids.  You can wear them all the time, however, they are meant to wear when you need them, such as in a noisy environment.

Consider “Anne’s” story as an example. Anne had a hearing test that revealed a steep hearing loss beyond 4000 Hz. A range where professionally fit hearing aids often do not help as the receiver doesn’t extend to higher frequencies. Her previous visit to another audiology clinic resulted in a recommendation for a $6000 hearing aid pair. However, Anne didn’t want to invest so much money for occasional use hearing challenges. After visiting Hears to U, we determined that an OTC hearing aid would be ideal for her needs.

Anne’s OTC Hearing Aid Experience

We sat down with Anne and went over what she wanted the solution to be and look like.  Anne chose an OTC hearing aid that fits discreetly in her ear canal, providing her with a comfortable and nearly invisible hearing solution.  We call this type of solution a completely-in-the-canal hearing aid that was once a Signia hearing aid and was now rebranded as a Sony OTC.

She felt that it would be a bit overwhelming to set up her device even though she knows how to use smartphone apps and owns an iPhone, she wanted our service to help her.  We shared that we charge a small service fee to help choose and set up her new device that she purchased right here over the counter.  At Hears to U, we will always offer additional assistance for setting up OTC hearing aids, ensuring our clients have peace of mind in using and maintaining them.

In any case, the process went smoothly and she liked the sound and fit of the Sony aids.  We looked in her ear with an otoscope helping her pick the size of the dome. We showed her how to change the domes, and how to clean the aids and then we went through the setup with her on the phone.

The total cost for Anne’s OTC hearing aid, including our assistance, was around $1000. This provided her with a cost-effective solution tailored to her needs and specific environments, such as her restaurant enjoyment.

Rechargeable ear dryer for hearing health

Use an Ear Dryer, A Perfect Solution to Keeping Your Ears Dry and Healthy

August 29, 2023

Here are some tips for taking care of your ear canals:

1. Don’t stick anything in your ear. This includes cotton swabs, bobby pins, and other objects. These items can push the earwax further into your ear canal and cause damage to your eardrum.

2. Clean the outside of your ear with a cloth or tissue. This will help remove any dirt or debris that may have accumulated.

3. Use ear drops to soften earwax. If you are experiencing a buildup of earwax, you can use ear drops to soften the wax and make it easier to remove.

4. Rinse your ear canal with warm water. You can use a bulb syringe or a gentle stream of water to rinse your ear canal. This can help remove any remaining earwax and debris.

5.  Keep your ear canals dry, especially before going out in the freezing cold or even putting a hearing aid in your ear.

Use an Ear Dryer for Healthy Ears!

It’s important to keep your ear canals dry to prevent the growth of bacteria and to avoid ear infections. One way to do this is by using an ear dryer. An ear dryer is a safe and effective way to dry your ear canals after swimming or showering. Using an ear dryer is easy. Simply insert the tip of the dryer into your ear and turn it on. The gentle stream of warm air will dry out any moisture in your ear canal. It’s important to use the dryer on a low setting to avoid any damage to your ear drum. An ear dryer is a great investment for anyone who regularly swims or spends time in the water. It can also be useful for people who have a history of ear infections or excessive earwax buildup. By keeping your ear canals dry, you can avoid these issues and maintain good ear health.

Remember to always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using an ear dryer. If you have any concerns about using an ear dryer or if you experience any pain or discomfort, be sure to consult with your doctor. With proper use, an ear dryer can be a safe and effective way to keep your ears healthy.

So what is an Ear Infection…?

While the terms “ear canal infection” and “ear infection” are often used interchangeably, they actually refer to different conditions. An ear canal infection, also known as swimmer’s ear or otitis externa, is an infection of the outer ear canal that can occur when water or other irritants get trapped in the ear canal and create a moist environment for bacteria or fungi to grow. Symptoms may include pain, itching, redness, and discharge.

On the other hand, an ear infection, also known as otitis media, is an infection of the middle ear that often occurs as a result of a cold or respiratory infection. This type of infection can cause fluid buildup in the middle ear, leading to symptoms such as ear pain, fever, and hearing loss.

Both types of ear infections can be treated with medication, but it’s important to consult with a doctor to determine the appropriate course of treatment. In some cases, an ear infection can lead to more serious complications, such as hearing loss or a ruptured eardrum, so prompt treatment is essential.

By taking steps to prevent ear infections, such as keeping your ear canals dry and avoiding exposure to irritants, you can help protect your ear health.

Seek medical attention if you have pain or hearing loss. If you are experiencing pain or hearing loss, it’s important to seek medical attention. Your doctor can help diagnose the problem and provide treatment if necessary. Taking care of your own ear canals is easy and can help prevent problems down the road. By following these simple tips, you can keep your ears healthy and functioning properly. And not just your ears but your hearing aids as well.  Stay tuned on another blog about keeping your hearing aids dry.

Cheers!

Exploring Over-the-Counter Hearing Aids: Striving for the Ideal Match or Uncovering the Optimal Choice?

In today’s technologically driven world, the sweet strains of convenience play a major role. Amidst this racket, hearing aids have taken center stage, hoping to provide more affordable devices for those with mild to moderate hearing loss. These powerful yet diminutive devices have seamlessly woven themselves through time. Bridging the gap between the world of sound and those yearning to experience it. Read along as we discuss history’s trumpets, where the evolution of hearing aids meets the contemporary law of over-the-counter glory.

Historical Prelude: Hearing Through Time or is it Hearing Loss Through Time

Hearing aids boast a rich history, akin to the layers of timeless trumpets and body-worn hearing aids. Tracing back through centuries, from rudimentary ear trumpets to sleek, modern devices, these auditory companions have orchestrated a remarkable evolution. Who could have predicted that the antiquated ear trumpet would one day give rise to such technology in hearing aids. Now the FDA can even sell and regulate them over the counter?! These hearing aids seamlessly intertwine with our lives, or for those who want to hear better.

Technology and Time of Adaptation: Hearing aids were fit only by Licensed professionals

In the recent past, not more than a year ago, the process of fitting a hearing aid often evoked feelings of stress and financial concern, coupled with a notable lack of transparency. Seasoned professionals skillfully led the delicate interplay between cutting-edge technology and the nuanced acoustics inherent to each individual’s ear, therefore bringing it to fruition. A license stood as the threshold to this process, attesting to the stringent precision, skillful craftsmanship, and individualized attention it necessitated.

The Overture of Accessibility:  Hearing aids sold over the counter

However, an entrancing twist awaited in 2017, 2019, and finally 2022, the overture of this narrative. Behold, the hearing aid that you can buy without the professional fit. A movement that empowers individuals to tune into life’s networks of communication without a professional Audiologist. Driven by technological advancements and the clarion call of consumer demand, a stage was set for accessibility, affordability, and self-empowerment.

Choices: Over-the-counter brands of hearing aids do not have a “best of” despite what you may read

Much like a skilled ensemble of professionals, the domain of hearing aids over the counter presents an array of options. Amidst this landscape on the internet, it appears that only four notable brands – Jabra, MD Hearing, Lexie Hearing Aids, and Audicus – emerge as leaders. As a professional and a person that works in this field, we know differently.  It frustrates us professionals to no end that the hearing aid that has the most money in marketing will appear to be the best you can find.

Navigating Your Options

The person searching for hearing aids over the counter will find more information on Jabra, Audicus, and even Eargo as the best aids and brands center stage. Yet, akin to the diverse preferences in music, hearing needs are individualistic. The true luminary is the hearing aid that matches your unique auditory requirements, lifestyle, and financial plan is the best.  Imagine that not everyone likes chocolate chip ice cream like I do.  People have all kinds of different flavors. And is Ben and Jerry’s the best?  True in the case the Ben and Jerry’s is yummy but so is Kemps and Cold Stone Creamery brand.

What do we make of all this Advertising: Navigating Paid Ads

Amidst this racket of internet fun and more searches and “research”, a curious note arises – the impact of paid advertisement. Paid ads capture attention and are seen over and over again, just like a sharp tone. These paid ads on websites of various kinds highlight specific brand offerings.  Sadly people believe that what they see they believe.

In an era where the internet is a vast repository of information, it’s crucial to approach its offerings with a discerning eye. While it’s a treasure trove of knowledge, not everything you find online is reliable or accurate.

Case in point: the realm of hearing aids. With countless websites, forums, and advertisements touting the best over-the-counter hearing aids, it’s easy to fall prey to biased recommendations or paid promotions. For instance, a quick online search for “top” or “Best” over-the-counter hearing aids might yield similar list by list of supposed champions, but it’s important to remember that these rankings can be influenced by money and thus paid ads or hidden agendas. Therefore, what truly matters is finding a hearing aid that aligns with your specific needs, preferences, and lifestyle. It’s a reminder that while the internet can be an invaluable tool, approaching it with a healthy dose of skepticism and seeking expert advice can help you navigate through the noise and make informed decisions, especially in critical matters like your hearing health.

Celebrate Individual Soundscapes

Though society often applauds a “Top 4” or “Top 10,” the true best of your hearing journey is within your preferences. Your unique hearing narrative and the auditory landscapes of your world converge to create a personal opus of choice. However, a hearing aid isn’t solely a tool. It’s a part of you (at least that is what one of my patients told me).

Our Professional Assistance

In a world resonating with individual preferences and experiences, we extend an invitation. We believe that audiologists ought to be the professionals helping you choose the hearing aid that fits your ears best with your preference and degree of hearing loss.  Seeking guidance in finding your auditory companion? We’re here not to dictate but to listen and present your choices. Whether embracing the over-the-counter serenade or a professionally fit prescription, our mission is to ensure you find a solution that harmonizes with your world.

In my audiology professional closing remarks, remember that the ultimate over-the-counter hearing aid isn’t confined to a “Top 4” or any numbered list. It’s a personal journey, a list of wants, and needs for choices where your preferences, budget, and requirements come together for an obvious choice (or two). Embrace the abundance of options! There’s no need to fall victim to being sold what they want you to buy, not the best hearing aids.  I promise you, there is no research saying one or the other hearing aid is the best.  It is all ads, smoke, mirror, and money talking.  Trust your professionals and small businesses.  We are “hear” for you!  Hehe

Widex Hearing Aid TruSound Technology

Widex Hearing technology offers a significant advancement in sound reproduction. Enabling users to experience a wide range of real-world sounds with exceptional fidelity and adaptability. Whether it’s speech, natural sounds, conversations, or music, TruSound strives to faithfully replicate auditory experiences.

One crucial innovation within Widex Hearing Aid TruSound is the development of TruSound Stabilizers. Research has shown that slow-acting compression systems are favored by hearing aid users for sound quality. However, there are situations where more is needed. TruSound Stabilizers in Widex Hearing Aid tackle this challenge by maintaining the expected high sound quality even in dynamic and demanding environments. These stabilizers effectively manage abrupt shifts in sound, preventing distortion or blurring of temporal and spectral characteristics.

Addressing sudden shifts in loudness is another critical aspect of TruSound Widex technology. As sound levels rapidly change, such as when transitioning from a noisy environment to answering a phone call, hearing aids must respond swiftly. TruSound Stabilizers play a crucial role here, ensuring that sound peaks are smoothed out, preventing discomfort for the Widex hearing aid user from overly loud sounds.

Widex TruSound Softener

Widex TruSound Softener, another component of the technology, addresses a common issue faced by hearing aid users—annoyance caused by transient sounds. These fleeting noises, ranging from soft computer keystrokes to loud fireworks, can be bothersome. Listening to Widex hearing aid TruSound Softener intelligently minimizes the irritation without eliminating these sounds entirely. By distinguishing between different levels of transient noises and their impact on user comfort, TruSound Softener strikes a balance between audibility, speech intelligibility, and comfort. This results in a realistic and comfortable auditory experience tailored to the Widex user’s specific hearing needs.

In summary, Widex’s TruSound technology revolutionizes sound reproduction in real time, offering users an unparalleled ability to engage with the auditory world. The combination of TruSound Stabilizers and TruSound Softener ensures high-quality, adaptable, and comfortable sound experiences across a diverse range of environments and sound levels.

Widex’s Soft Sound for Gain is a testament to the brand’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with hearing loss. By focusing on amplifying soft sounds while maintaining natural dynamics and comfort, this innovative technology opens up new realms of auditory enjoyment. Whether it’s the gentle rustle of leaves, the soothing tones of music, or the joy of heartfelt conversations, Soft Sound for Gain ensures that individuals with hearing loss can fully embrace these precious moments, fostering a deeper connection to the world of sound around them.
